...is a not-for-profit organization focused on
the beautification and maintenance of Barker Park, at the corner of State
and 3rd Streets. Throughout the seasons, you will see improvements and renovations
taking place that will allow us to attain our goal of an accessible and
inviting urban park that all can enjoy. Our presence and voice will become
more frequent as we invite the public to participate and volunteer time
in a variety of events and functions to benefit Barker Park's rebirth.
The Friends of Barker Park is an established organization composed of energetic
local citizens and business owners. As of 2007, the Friends of Barker Park
has re-organized its board and is moving forward with its mission to rehabilitate
the park. We thank everyone for their donations and support, as they have
given us a great deal of momentum in moving forward.
